Assess → Prepare → Coordinate → Maintain → Store → Move → Return
Assess
Understand the vehicle, its current condition, intended use, location, timing and existing records.
Prepare
Agree the immediate work: detailing, inspection, documentation, mechanical checks or storage preparation.
Coordinate
Align service providers, access, authorisations, collection details and communication preferences.
Maintain
Keep scheduled servicing, repairs, tyres, batteries and diagnostics visible rather than scattered.
Store
Set the environment, cover, inspection and battery arrangements for time away from the road.
Move
Plan transport method, dimensions, condition records, insurance questions and handover points.
Return
Inspect, document, prepare for use and close the loop with the records updated.
What coordination really means
Concierge planning isn't a substitute for qualified technical work. It is the practical layer between your intentions and the people carrying them out. That may mean helping compare service scopes, arranging a detailing appointment, confirming transport access, preparing handover notes or keeping a seasonal calendar.
Provider selection should consider the vehicle's needs, the work required, communication style, access and documentation. Avoid choosing on presentation alone. Ask what is included, what requires approval, how changes are reported and who is responsible at each handover.
Documentation should be simple enough to use: current mileage, condition photographs, keys, service notes, invoices, recommendations and the next action. A short record is better than a beautiful folder nobody opens.
Seasonal ownership planning
Vehicles used occasionally benefit from prompts before and after their quiet periods. Before storage, complete preparation and record condition. During storage, maintain agreed inspections. Before a trip, allow time for checks, cleaning and any work discovered during inspection. If the vehicle is moving between locations, build in time for collection and delivery checks rather than treating them as administrative details.
